Payroll Specialist
SEARCH Group Partners, a premier recruiting firm, is looking for an experienced Payroll Specialist for one of our clients located in Draper. This position is responsible for processing the payroll for approximately 2,500 employees within the US, Canada and Mexico. Our ideal candidate will perform duties that require an understanding of company payroll policies and procedures with a strong level of customer service.

Here are a few things you'll likely find yourself doing in this role...
  • Processes bi-weekly, multi-state payroll for salaried and hourly, full time and part time employees ensuring the accuracy of data entry along with coordinating timely close of the payroll transmission
  • Assist with the process and review of payroll related interfaces results
  • Create pay data batches, verify and reconcile wages & hours from various applications
  • Monitor timely receipt of payroll required document from all locations
  • Calculate and process off-cycle manual checks
  • Process new hires, leave of absence, and terminations according to state law
  • Produce audit reports, audit registers, accruals and special cases
  • Process stop payment, reversal and update on line banking
  • Assist locations with time and attendance entries
  • Interpret payroll policies and procedures to company employees of all levels
Here's what you need to have...
  • Bachelor’s degree or CPP ( Certified Payroll Professional) preferred
  • Minimum 4 year's recent hands-on Canada and US payroll experience required
  • Knowledge of Ultipro, Workday and/or Kronos strongly preferred
  • Strong Excel skills required
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, oral and written communication skills required
  • Detail oriented, strong analytical skills, ability to detect inconsistencies in data, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work reliably and efficiently under demanding deadlines
  • Some experience with audit procedures, tax and accounting practices is preferred.
