Web Support Specialist 
The Web Support Specialist provides telephone technical support of external web applications used by 9-1-1 communication centers, proactively monitor and resolves incidents, and implements solutions.
  • Work directly with and listen to the internal user to clearly understand their needs and the problem
  • Perform independent research of technical issues
  • Maintain clear, concise and timely communications with affected parties during investigation and resolution of any individual or system-wide outage
  • Troubleshoot front-end solution across multiple browsers and devices
  • Clearly present technical information and solutions to non-technical users
  • Create and review code against existing standards and industry best practices.
  • Associate's Degree in IT from an accredited college, technical school or university
  • At least 4-years experience in technical support, application support, and/or help desk support
  • Expert knowledge of browser quirks and creating web apps that are consistent across all major browsers.
  • Experience writing SQL queries in MSSQL and My AQL
  • Experience in GIT or SVN repository
  • At least one programming language (PHP, C #, Java)
  • Experience in HTML, CSS, Javascript, JS frameworks (Jquery, Angular)
  • Experience in bash scripting
  • Experience with Redmine or other issue tracking system
  • Knowledge of web technology protocols and security
  • Knowledge of Apache and IIS
  • Knowledge of MVC frameworks (CodeIgniter, ASP.NET), Content Management System and Test Driven Development
