SEARCH Group Partners, a premier recruiting firm, is looking for an experienced CFO for one of our clients located in the greater Salt Lake City area. 
 

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is responsible to the Board of Directors for all fiscal affairs of our client. Working in support of the mission and goals, she/he is responsible for and provides leadership over general accounting, cash management, budgeting, financial reporting, human resources, information technology, and risk management.


Here are a few things you'll likely find yourself doing in this role...
 
  • Responsible for development and attainment of short and long range operational plan and goals and objectives for finance and administration strategic plan
  • Provide leadership over all business and financial operations including internal controls, accounting and financial operations, budgeting, cash management, purchasing, human resources, information technology, risk management, and legal activities
  • Business insurance: procurement, monitoring and management
  • Board of Directors – working with the Executive Director, provide staff support and guidance to Board of Directors and act as staff liaison to relevant board committees
  • Direct all aspects of accounting operations, overseeing all transactions related to general ledger, receivables, payables, payroll and financial reporting
  • Analyze company's financial results with respect to profits, trends, costs and compliance with budgets. Issue regular status and ad hoc reports to senior management
  • Develop and coordinating all relationships with lending/financial institutions
  • Develop and maintaining all necessary accounting policies and systems, including general ledger and financial reporting
  • Coordinate, prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports
  • Coordinate and/or prepare tax schedules, returns and information
  • Coordinate all audits (financial, 401K, Workers Compensation, etc.)
  • Manage relationships with insurance providers and ensuring compliance
  • Manage all tax planning and compliance with all required federal, state, local, payroll, property and other applicable taxes.
  • Manage cash flow, forecast cash needs and cash flow timing
  • Administer employee benefit plans
  • Manage agreements and contracts for office equipment and maintenance
  • Assist in negotiation of union contracts as required

Here's what you need to have...
  • Business or Accounting degree mandatory, a master’s in business administration is preferred
  • CPA strongly preferred
  • Minimum 7 - 10 years of experience in a senior management role ideally with both external audit and in-house financial management experience gained in a high-growth organization
  • Experience either as an employee or board member of a nonprofit organization; must be familiar with nonprofit finance and accounting regulations
  • Strong mentoring, coaching experience to a team with diverse levels of expertise
