Branch Manager
SEARCH Group Partners, a premier recruiting firm, is looking for an experienced Branch Manager for one of our clients located in Westlake Village, CA. 
BASIC FUNCTION

 
Manage the sales and operational functions of the branch, recruit new loan originators and work with existing originators to increase loan volume. Ensure loan originators and staff are performing their duties and responsibilities in compliance with federal, state, local rules and regulations and adhering to company policies and procedures. Maintain personal production. Manage the branch to achieve profitability goals and set annual budget forecasts.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES

Develop and manage an annual budget and business plan.
  1. Manage branch expenses in relation to revenue and make adjustments as necessary in alignment with company expectations.
  2. Recruit, train and mentor Loan Originators to close a minimum of 3 loans per month, or $750,000 per month within 90 days of hire.
  3. Mentor existing Loan Originators to increase their business; assist in developing partnerships and referral relationships that will translate into long-term quality clients for the Loan Originator and focus their business on purchase-business.
  4. Lead monthly sales meetings for Originators providing updates on program guidelines, sales strategies and techniques and disseminating information from the Monthly Branch Manager meetings.
  5. Request additional training from the corporate office in needed areas.
  6. Manage the processing function at the branch level to ensure files submitted to corporate meet expectations and are in compliance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations.
  7. Manage the receptionist function to ensure the branch is supported and customers and partners are made to feel welcome.
  8. Attend company and manager meetings as required; prepare reports and updates as required.
  9. Increase competitor intelligence and use knowledge in strategic planning.
  10. Manage personal production successfully.
  11. Meet continuing education requirements as required by each state and the NMLS.
  12. Attend training as required from time to time.
  13. Keep current on FHA/VA/USDA/Conventional changes and guidelines as communicated by underwriting or operations or external sources.
  14. Assist with daily problem-solving and trouble-shooting.
  15. Ensure that an environment of teamwork is maintained at all times.
  16. Maintain the highest possible level of customer service.
  17. Interface with other departments as necessary to ensure the smooth operation and growth of the Branch.
  18. Ensure branch safety and security measures are in place at all times.
  19. Other duties as assigned
    STANDARDS OF PERFORMANCE / MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 
  1. Minimum of 7 years of mortgage operations or sales experience preferred.
  2. Manages Loan Originators to maintain a minimum of 3 closed loans per month.
  3. Manages the Team production to achieve overall production goals where at least 95% are correspondent loans.
  4. Manages the Team production to achieve overall production goals with a 80% purchase volume goal.
  5. If licensed, maintains a minimum of 3 closed loans per month in personal production.
  6. Manages the branch to goals set in conjunction with Regional Manager to meet or exceed ongoing profitability targets.
  7. Is approachable, visible and available to loan originators and staff.
  8. Leadership: Exudes a positive attitude, mentors employees, sets a good example.
  9. Discipline: Addresses performance issues in a timely manner and documents incidents, is equitable is disciplinary action and compensation.
  10. Provides Training: Encourages employee growth and provides training and cross-training opportunities for employees.
  11. Staffing: Anticipates staffing issues, plans for staffing changes in advance.
  12. Seeks Feedback: Has regular communication with employees, seeks the feedback of employees and keeps lines of communication open.
  13. Sets Clear Expectations for Employees: Meets with employees regularly to discuss performance issues, projects, changes in procedures and/or duties, completes performance reviews in a timely and equitable manner.
  14. Effective verbal and written communications skills.
  15. Knowledge of mortgage industry practices and regulations.
  16. Strong analytical skills, combined with sound judgment and decision making abilities.
  17. High level of professionalism and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  18. Strong customer service values and the ability to deliver a high level of responsiveness to both internal and external customers.
  19. Ability to be flexible, multi-task and organize priorities in a fast paced work environment, while maintaining a high level of focus and accuracy
  20. High level of computer literacy.
  21. Knowledge of mortgage industry practices.
  22. Ensure the department's adherence to all regulations, compliance standards and internal policies.
