Customer Service / Account Manager
SEARCH Group Partners, a premier recruiting firm, is looking for an experienced Customer Service / Account Manager for one of our clients located in Simi Valley, CA. In order to be considered, you must have previous experience working in a manufacturing environment.

This position will be responsible for assisting customers with orders by providing status of orders and coordinating shipping once orders are completed.  This position will also work closely with sales personnel in processing sample requests and assisting with new projects.  
           
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
 
  1. Manages assigned customers.
    1. Receives new orders
    2. Enters orders into DTR
    3. Provides feedback regarding order progress
    4. Coordinates shipping once orders are completed.
  2. Provides quotes for stock items from price list.
  3. Manages customer's inventory on a revolving stock basis.
  4. Assists Sales staff with custom quotes.
  5. Maintains regular communication with customers regarding on-going projects and any additional needs the customer may have.
  6. Coordinates with Quality Assurance Manager when issues arise regarding quality of product ordered/received. 
    SECONDARY FUNCTIONS:
     
  1. Responsible for maintaining customer files.
  2. Other duties as assigned by Customer Service Manager. 
     
EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
 
Education
  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in related field or Business Management.  
Skills
  • Work requires continual attention to detail and must be efficient, accurate and reliable.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.  
  • Strong organization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities while still meeting deadlines
  • Ability to work in fast paced environment.
  • Trouble shooting and problem-solving skills required.
  • Ability to shift priorities as required meeting expectations while working with a sense of urgency to provide results.
  • Proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook.   
Experience
  • 2-5 years of customer service or sales experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Working knowledge of Sales Orders.
