Claims Adjuster
SEARCH Group Partners, a premier recruiting firm, is looking for an experienced Claims Adjuster for one of our clients located in Newbury Park, CA. For this partiacular position, you must have your Texas license.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
  1. Identification and investigation of fraudulent claim activity.
  2. Utilized web based sources and coordinate with local agencies.
  3. Obtain recorded statements, photos, videos & other means to determine fraud.
  4. Reports fraudulent claims to the Department of Insurance
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and district attorneys
  6. Coordinate activities surrounding prosecution and recovery of monies paid
  7. Handles newly assigned and existing files to their conclusion.
  8. Responsible for all aspects of handling claims on injury and non-injury files.
  9. Confirms and determines coverage and investigates all coverage issues.
  10. Investigates and determines liability.
  11. Evaluate bodily injury, BI, MP, and UM claims.
  12. Negotiates settlements within authority.
  13. Directs independent appraisers, investigators and defense counsel on cases assigned.
  14. Reviews all files thoroughly for proper claims handling through regular use on diary.
  15. Duties may also include any reasonable company related assignments as directed by management.
  16. Conducts files work as requested by management.
  17. Perform collections and subrogation duties.
  18. Perform other duties as assigned by the Claims Supervisor/Manager/COO.
    Education and/or Experience:
    2+ years prior claims experience, prior SIU experience preferred. Must be highly motivated, results based individual comfortable in high pressure environments. Candidate must possess extraordinary communication skills and the ability to clearly express ideas to both senior level management and law enforcement agencies alike. Knowledge of tort and state laws preferred.

    Technical/Language/Mathematical Skills:
    A minimum alpha/numeric data entry speed of 7,000 KSPH required. Bi-lingual Spanish is big plus.

    Reasoning Ability:
    Perform duties within acceptable time and quality standards as set by the company. Have the ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
