SEARCH Group Partners, a premier recruiting firm, is looking for Product Development Chemist for one of our clients in Madison Heights, MI.

Here are a few things you'll likely find yourself doing in this role...
  • Leads the formulation development and support efforts for the lubricant product line.
  • Executes on assigned product development projects, proactively reports on progress toward project objectives to both internal and external customers.
  • Provides technical support services to manufacturing and quality as required.
  • Assures all R&D laboratory work is carried out in a safe manner including personal protective equipment, training on safety practices.
  • Ensures compliance with 5S and TS 16949 policies and procedures.
  • Develops intellectual property protection and guidance for new innovations
Here's what you need to have...
  • BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or other relevant technical field.
  • Strong background in the formulation of water miscible metal working lubricants.
  • 3+ years technical experience in the development of semi-synthetic and synthetic formulations used in machining & grinding applications.
  • Automotive or Aerospace industry experience preferred.
  • In depth knowledge of tribology testing equipment.
