Salesforce Engineer

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop updates to the Salesforce implementation to meet business defined requirements ranging from small visual or data updates to larger customized changes.
  • Design and develop processes that integrate Salesforce and the various other business systems. 
  • Evaluate project requirements, determine and design the best solution to a problem or feature, develop detailed specification, code, unit test and implement the solution.
  • Works within accepted coding standards.
  • Analyze, identify and troubleshoot issues encountered in production and/or reported by customers/users by investigating and conducting in-depth research and debugging code.
  • Refactor code to optimize performance and simplify code management.

Requirements:​​​​​​

  • 4 to 6 years' experience developing solutions within Salesforce (Visualforce, Apex, etc ) and experience with the different segments of the Salesforce architecture. 
  • Demonstrated experience integrating with Salesforce via the Salesforce API and with external systems.
  • Should have some Microsoft .NET development experience with technical foundation in Visual C#.
  • Strong experience with Microsoft SQL.
  • Experience working within an Agile/SCRUM based development environment.
  • Experience with some of the following Web Services, JavaScript, JQuery, MVC, Entity Framework, XML, AJAX, LINQ and HTML.

Technical Skills: 

  • Salesforce deployment and release management experience (GearSet).
  • Data migration and ETL process experience (Informatica).
  • Windows Communication Foundation (WCF), Team Foundation Server (TFS), SharePoint and VMware ESX Server experience a plus (NOT NECESSARY).
  • Ability to work within a defined Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Ability to support enterprise wide systems and applications.
  • Strong analytical skills, the ability to define problems effectively and clearly.
  • Strong Experience with Salesforce data models/elements.
  • Any Salesforce Administration experience helpful.
