Sr. Finance Business Systems Analyst

Responsibilities:
  • Partners with cross functional teams, business leads, and technology partners to elicit, analyze, translate, and document business requirements into technical requirements. 
  • Participate and provide technical leadership in all phases of a project from discovery and planning through implementation and delivery. 
  • Lead current state system analysis and document future state system requirements, as well as, document and recommend solutions. 
  • Comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams offering insights that can illuminate the client's journey toward the business goals. 
  • Draft system requirements and SIT/UAT plans. 
  • Analyze, document and test program development, logic, process flows and specifications. 
  • Develop system test cases and execute system testing (prior to UAT). 
  • Partners with business lead to conduct user acceptance testing and gain solution sign-off. 
  • Documents user manuals (system) to describe application usage by the Finance user community and operating procedures. 
  • Facilitate actions and compile deliverables in accordance with SDLC for Internal Audit sign-off. 
Requirements:
  • Must have implementation experience with planning and consolidation applications such as Adaptive Insights, Anaplan, Host Analytics, One Stream experience. 
  • Candidate should possess thorough understanding of Finance processes such as revenue forecasting, headcount/ people planning, operating/capital expense planning, cash flow forecasting, balance sheet forecasting and legal entity forecasting. 
  • Minimum 5 years of IT and/or Finance operations experience; Bio-pharma or Life Sciences industry experience.
  • Thorough understanding of one or more of Finance processes such as revenue forecasting, headcount/ people planning, operating/capital expense planning, cash flow forecasting, balance sheet forecasting and legal entity forecasting. 
  • Must have some Project Management experience. 
  • Should have full lifecycle Finance project implementation experience. 
  • Demonstrated experience in writing software requirements and test specifications.. 
  • Experience working on global or regional projects with team members in multiple locations. 
  • Experience with change management methodologies, organizational design, different operating or business models and business process re-engineering. 
Preferred:
  • MBA in Finance or related. 
  • Certification in finance domain such as CPA and FP&A. 
  • Project Management or Six Sigma or other process certification. 
  • Any experience working in a top-tier consulting firm implementing SaaS forecasting and planning solutions. 
  • Candidates who have worked in corporate FP&A role and then moved to an IT role supporting FP&A function is ideal.
