Job Description: The New Business Analyst (Analyst) will assist the New Business/Work Planning Manager (Manager) with monitoring all projects in the New Business Portfolio through the creation and maintenance of business dashboards and the effective reporting of deficiencies to the Manager and area supervisors.

The Analyst will set-up and conduct regular meetings with T&D divisions, create process flow charts, identify root causes of issues, determine process gaps, identify corrective/recovery actions to recommend to Client LI Leadership, and facilitate the successful progression of New Business projects.

The Analyst will:
Track the overall New Business portfolio, identify and communicate projects which need additional attention, and prepare regular reports for senior leadership
Manage New Business reporting, interfacing with various departments including Building and Renovations Services, Design/Scheduling, Construction, Meter Services, Mapping and Billing
Confirm all completed New Business projects are billed
Provide the Manager with decision support analysis
Assist the Manager and divisions with identifying proper resource levels required to achieve company goals.

1 Assist Manager with development and maintenance of full New Business reporting system, from daily working reports and scorecards to summary reports prepared for senior leadership. 30
2 Set Up and conduct meetings, take minutes, and monitor status of achieving metrics for New Business. 30
3 Review process and accounting practices, identifying process deficiencies and preparing proposals for resolving deficiencies. 25

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in relevant field of study (e.g. engineering, management, economics)
- Others acceptable if candidate can relate studies to position requirements
1-4 years experience, utility industry experience preferred

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite: Word, Excel, Power Point, Publisher, Visio
Working knowledge of analytics software: Python, R-Studio, MicroStrategy, Tableau and/or similar

Desired Qualifications:
MBA or other relevant advanced degree
Business process development experience
Project management / Workforce management experience
Project financing experience

This position requires a moderate level of travel on Long Island and to New Jersey
