Data Architect - Senior

This position is needed to design big data solutions for business data. The successful candidate will know the right technology and match data access patterns with best technology solutions and integrate heterogeneous environment into a single logical data layer. The Data Architect role is responsible for design and development of enterprise-class data solutions. This position will create technical design documents that map source to target, define transformation rules and ensure integration with the data warehouse. Responsible for implementing our efforts around ¿best fit data architecture¿ using one or more database technologies to engineer backend solutions and to provide operational support. Heavy skills required in OracleSQL, Neo4j, API & Data services. Requires some IT Languages such as Spark, Amazon Web Services, Kafka. Requires a degree or 5-10 years experience in field or related area.

Must have skills: 1. Strong understanding of data modeling and data architecture, can work with a business or IT team and lead the room, someone who can problem solve and drive change. The primary technical skill is SQL, ETL (generic), and reporting experience. Teradata and Oracle 2. Strong experience with data management and business intelligence technologies, particularly SAP, Teradata, Oracle, Business Objects, and data warehouse 3. Experience with AWS and/or other vendor clouds.

o Day to Day work:
- Support of the system: more of level 4. Considered the experts.
- Lots of dev teams will move code within the system. This person will act as the gatekeeper to make sure people are not moving things in an adverse way.
- Will sit on North Campus.
- Only open to remote workers if they are a rockstar, have all the required skills, and have prior experience working remote. Make sure this is clearly listed on the resume when submitting. Preference will be given to those who are either local or willing to relocate.
- Nice to Haves:
o Good communication skills: System is globally used; will enteract with a lot of other teams across the world
o A little bit of leadership is required.
o Prior experience managing a small team.
- Possibility of extension based on performance and budget.
- Interview Process:
o If they are local, meet F2F.
o If not local, will do phone interview
o 60 minutes behaviroal and technical questions.
- No certifications required but are nice to have.
- No flexibility in the bill rate.
