Job Description: Senior R&D Technician, Design & Verification Testing Support
Location: Miami Lakes, FL
Duration: 6 Months

Client designs, manufactures, and commercializes medical devices uses to treat coronary artery disease and peripheral artery disease. Examples of such devices include systems for gaining access to the vasculature, angioplasty balloon catheters, stents and stent delivery systems, and access closure devices. As an R&D technician you will work in the design and testing of Cardiology and Vascular Medical Devices.

The current position encompasses support of assembly and testing of medical devices.

•Applies comprehensive medical device engineering knowledge and a thorough understanding of concepts, principles, and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks.
•Works on complex projects of medium scope.
•Completes work with general guidance from engineers.
•Accountable for design assembly, as applicable, ensuring methods are documented, prototypes are evaluated against design input, and tested properly.
•Works closely with manufacturing engineers on process development for mass production of medical devices.
•Support of all design verification testing activities, including protocols writing, protocol execution, test method set up, and test reports.
•Assists engineers on aspects of test method development and tool design.
•Ensure engineering lab is organized, and that all lab procedures are followed.
•Works with team leaders to generate testing schedules which align with project plans.

•Associate's Degree in Engineering or related technical field required
•A minimum of 5+ years related work experience
•Experience working in the design and/or testing of medical devices.
•Solid knowledge of design control and Good Laboratory Practices.
•Proficient performing data analysis in Excel.
•Prior experience working in the design and testing of cardiovascular catheters, stent delivery systems, or similar devices would be an additional asset.
