Analytics Developer (Big Data Cloud) - Intermediate

We are seeking a developer to partner with other engineering teams to help architect and build the data pipeline that ingest hundreds of billions of data pointsfor our Field Analytics Platform utilizing AWS. Expand capability using various open source data processing technologies like Hadoop, Kafka, Spark, Cassandra and Neo4J into our infrastructure.Become an expert of AWS services that we leverage. Help to efficiently integrate our big data infrastructure in the AWS cloud.Build services, deploy models, algorithms, perform model training and provide tools to make our infrastructure more accessible to all our data scientists. Enable specific initiatives to build our capabilities from environmental classification toIn-Season Field Analytics and more. Requires a degree or 3-5 years experience in field or related area.

  • -Work with Data Scientists and Big Data Cloud engineers to develop and deploy cutting edge algorithms and pipelines to highly scalable cloud infrastructures. In this position, you will work with the latest big data and cloud (AWS, GCP) technology to design and deploy highly-scalable computational and ETL frameworks and pipelines which will impact internal and external stakeholders.
  • - These roles are open because of new projects coming in.
  • - 70% new development and 30% maintenance or refactoring.
  • - Will sit at North Campus.
  • - MUST HAVES: Successful candidates will show an eagerness and aptitude to learn new technologies and competency in cloud compatible frameworks and languages. In this position you may work with Java, python, node.js, R, SQL and noSQL languages and develop solutions using native AWS and other Big data assets including: CloudFormation templates, serverless, lambdas, step functions, kubernetes and EMR to name a few.
  • - Nice to Haves: Experience with big data, data science and working in the cloud.
  • - Could be extended based on budget and performance. Also could be converted depending on headcount.
  • - Open to candidates who are willing to relocate.
  • - Open to subcontractors who are fully vetted.
  • - Interview Process: Phone and then F2F/video interview.
  • - Hands on experience and competencies are more important than formal education level. It is expected, but not required that the qualified candidate will have at least a BS college degree.
  • - No certs are required but AWS certs are a plus.
