Job Description: Product Specialist

The Product Specialist is responsible for success in the roll out of enterprise-level platforms to internal and external Agricultural partners. This role will enable successful deployment, training and documentation to drive user adoption and ensure proper, maximized use of our platforms. The Product Specialist will collaborate to define and execute a customized partner success plan. This person will enable success of the platform by sharing deep subject matter expertise with IT and business partners, providing user insight and perspective and create opportunities for engagement throughout all parts of the product lifecycle.

[What you will do:] - Specific to our IoT group
As a Product Specialist for the IoT platform, you will drive user adoption of the platform and related products including hardware and software by creating communications, training and documentation to empower business partners and users alike. You will be collaborating with the Product Manager and development teams and will leverage your deep subject matter expertise to deliver customer centric solutions. You will be responsible for designing and maintaining product pages, conduct user training remote or in-person including communication around product releases.

You thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment where you work cooperatively with many other people including development teams, business stakeholders and end users. You are able to effectively prioritize your day to ensure results on both short-term immediate initiatives while advancing bigger picture, long term efforts. You can effectively leverage your well-developed T-shaped skills, which balance depth of subject-matter expertise with a breath across many competencies, in order to effectively communicate both with IT geeks and science nerds. You love solving both technical and business related problems.
Required Education and Skills/Experience:
• Must have one of the following:
o Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline and 3+ years experience supporting the life cycle of software products (development, testing, launch, training and/or support), OR
o Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Candidates with no Bachelor's degree must have a minimum of 5 years supporting the life cycle of software products
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Entrepreneurial drive and demonstrated ability to achieve stretch goals in an innovative and fast-paced environment
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational and analytical skills, with the ability to evolve product strategy based on research, data and industry trends
• Ability to think strategically about technology and execute as necessary

Desired Education and Skills/Experience:
• Experience in the IoT industry or familiarity with connected devices and systems
• Experience with agile methodology and/or SCRUM
• Knowledgeable across multiple functional areas such as software design & development, user experience, customer support, finance or marketing
• Product management or design experience with a focus on software products and technologies
