The EU MDR Hazardous Substances workstream requires a chemist to help identify, quantify, and report hazardous substances content within Diabetes devices and materials. This would include building and maintaining a database that compiles current and historical extractable/leachable engineering reports so that hazardous substances information is readily accessible. The chemist may also be responsible for device/material chemical characterization testing in an effort to support EU MDR compliance. A chemist is required to work this activity full time for the duration of approximately 6-8 moths (as an initial estimate) and will be evaluated for extension from there.

Job orients around researching historical extractable/leachable data/reports and identifying chemicals of concern within products/materials that are within EU MDR scope. This includes maintaining a database that compiles the applicable information. The chemist may also be responsible for device/material chemical characterization testing in an effort to support EU MDR compliance. This may include preparing reports and performing qualitative and quantitative analyses on medical devices and raw materials.
