Search and Evaluation Advisor II

Support the identification and evaluation of new business opportunities and enabling technologies in gene therapy and related areas that are a good strategic fit with Spark¿s strategy or provide a leveraged entry into new therapeutic areas. Coordinate and/or lead the internal evaluation of new technologies with R&D scientists, initiate and manage due diligence activities. Effectively interface with internal stakeholders in the technical, regulatory, legal, commercial and manufacturing disciplines to enable the completion of diligence activities for new opportunities. Contribute to term sheet discussions, financial analysis to value opportunities, and contract negotiations for potential collaborations with universities/tech transfer offices and selected other third parties as required. Qualifications include strong interpersonal, analytical and organizational skills; strong decision-making ability, including ability to synthesize complex and diverse inputs to a problem and recommend solutions/preferred options; skillful presenter of scientific and business topics to executives; ability to create, understand and interpret financial models; work with internal stakeholders and external parties to develop a perspective on the scientific, medical and regulatory aspects of new technologies or therapeutic assets; Ph.D. (preferred); with generally 4-6 years life sciences (pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology) industry experience in research and development, search and evaluation, or business development or related roles OR MS; with generally 4-6 years life sciences (pharmaceutical and/or biotechnology) industry experience in research and development, search and evaluation, or business development or related roles.
