Job Description:
This is a contract position with potential for conversion after 6 months based on performance.
Requires Pharmacy Technician Michigan certification per MI state guidelines
  • Prepare new prescription and refill orders for preparation of shipment.
  • Pick/pack appropriate medications, caregiver items and IV supplies.
  • Verify quantities and prepare labels for containers.
  • Send order to Pharmacist for checking.
  • Pack and prepare medications and supplies in boxes for shipment.
  • Replenish supply bins as needed, restocking shelves and packing supplies.
  • Inventory management- cycle counts, expiration date checking, running other routine pharmacy reports.
  • Helping to unpack/receive incoming drug and supply shipments from UPS and truck deliveries. Administrative tasks of ordering office and warehouse packing supplies, answering phones and sorting mail. Also assisting pharmacy manager with projects . Keep workstation clean as required.

Qualifications:
  • Minimum requirements to competently perform the key responsibilities of this job in terms of educational background, work experience, licenses/certifications or other knowledge, skills, and abilities.
  • HS Diploma or equivalency required
  • Pharmacy Technician Michigan certification per MI state guidelines
  • Experience in pharmacy setting
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices and procedures within dispensing pharmacy
  • Detail oriented
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Ability to adapt in a dynamic work environment, learn quickly, solve problems and make decisions.
  • General PC knowledge
  • Willingness to work a flexible schedule for peak times
  • Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift boxes for outgoing drug shipments and incoming inventory to be unpacked
