Description/Comment:The Scientific Technician performs tests and analyzes results per written procedure or protocol. Participate on teams assigned by supervisor. Must have good verbal and written communication skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft EXCEL and Word. Must be self-motivated and action oriented with excellent time management and multi-tasking skills. Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in a life science (0+ years experience)
• Associate's Degree in a life science or med tech with 2+ years relevant experience
• Candidates with a high school diploma plus 4+ years relevant experience would also be considered

Additional Job Details:• Patient sample acquisition coordination • Maintenance of a bank of patient samples including physical organization/tracking, traceability documentation, and management of distribution to team members • Manipulation of patient samples via dilution, spiking, mixing, and/or aliquotting to achieve desired analyte concentrations or volumes • Screening of patient samples with automated immunoassays to characterize various analyte concentrations • Maintain an inventory of supplies and reagents for the team • Perform periodic maintenance on automated immunoassay instrumentation • Maintain well-organized documentation in compliance with relevant procedures • Remain current on internal policies and training requirements • Experience in Universal blood and body fluids desirable • Experience in phlebotomy desirable • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills • Experience working in a GMP environment desirable Please ensure that the supplier addresses the need for prescription lab safety glasses. For context on my ‘lab glasses’ request, Client Coulter does not cover this for contract employees. We supply glasses to fit over their normal glasses, but since this position is 80% in the lab, prescription lab glasses are the preferred personal protective equipment.
