Job Title: Sr. Engineer focused on Medical Device Design / Verification

Medical Device Design and Verification Engineer with 3 to 7 years’ experience. A successful applicant can contribute, at the system level, to the overall development of medical infusion systems though the definition, direction and execution of verification and validation strategies. Propose solutions to technical challenges commonly associated with new product development. Coordinating with team members, suppliers and external resources. He/she must function within a team environment and provide clear feedback to supervisor, team members and department

Critical skills and experience include:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Biomedical with three to seven years of experience in a design and/or development setting.
• Display a solid technical understanding of electrical and/or mechanical engineering principles and procedures.
• Must be able to provide technical solutions that reflect understanding business objectives and cost implications.
• Study and recommend techniques to improve system algorithmic behavior to meet performance requirements.
• Ability to perform design of experiments (DoE) and statistical analysis on data obtained from feasibility studies and formal verification.
• Utilize engineering tools (e.g., Design of Experiments, Matlab, WinSSD, etc) to solve problems.
• Provide input into requirements development.
• Plan verification testing and other product tests to assure product design.
• 1-3 years of protocol writing experience.

Preferred skills and experience include:
• Experience with the development and verification of electronic medical equipment with embedded firmware.
• Experience with Medical Device design controls and understanding of Good Document / Manufacturing Practices in the area of design controls, including FDA-21 CFR 820.30 and ISO 9001.
• Working understanding of IEC 60601-1, Medical electrical equipment - Part 1: General requirements for basic safety and essential performance
• DOORs or ALM experience a plus
