Technical Planning Team with the client is looking for a Technology Planning Manager, Mobile Software to help drive technology innovation while helping to develop and maintain strategic partnerships that are crucial to the development of cutting-edge mobile devices. This position will engage in mobile product development and work collaboratively with client software engineering teams located worldwide.
The Technology Planning Manager will establish dialogue between client’s CBG software group and ecosystem partners. This position will provide client's software management team with strategy, partnership opportunities and account management in North America. Duties include research of industry trends, identify technology partnership opportunities and manage the collaboration with existing partners.
Study and survey consumer device technology landscape to develop insight of industry trends, identify collaboration opportunity
Serve as Account Manager between internal teams and external technology partners, including drive evaluation, solution comparison, guide procurement, value estimation/pricing, and craft business model.
Manage negotiation process and communication with key partners, and provide constructive suggestions to management team.
Collect requirements and technical specifications with customers and partners, participate in prototyping and drive the integration of partner solution for feature innovation
Interface with ecosystem technology partners, contribute new ideas for mobile innovation and mobile device technologies, evangelize for client CBG via events and online activities
Establish and maintain relationship with local VC and startup communities to identify promising technologies to help differentiate client's mobile product/services
Travel as work needs, including visit HQ in China
Minimum: Bachelor's Degree,
Preferred: Master's Degree.
Major/Discipline: Computer Science or Engineering background M.B.A or related business degree
Relevant Work Experience:
Minimum: 5 years of relevant engineering, and account management / business development experience;
Preferred: 8 years of relevant engineering, and account management / business development experience
Experience of mobile application, platform and/or services for Android device
Self-starter, a true team player, able to work in fast-paced environment, proven success in working within a globalized multi-culture organization.
Experience in one or more of the following mobile technologies is great plus: AI, computer vision, camera, UX, security, ARVR, multimedia
Knowledge of mobile market needs and key focus of the competitive handset devices
Negotiation experience and pricing experience
Experience in innovation and working with diverse teams to drive results
Experience in product marketing, product management of mobile devices, application and services
Program management experience in mobile industry with successful application/service launch will help
