Medical Information Specialist

You will manage the development of educational materials for Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs), Medical Affairs physicians, training, and other scientific presentations as appropriate and will perform additional duties as requested. You will also be called upon to synthesize scientific and clinical information for support of Medical Affairs and Clinical Research activities.
• Prepare educational and scientific materials such as congress presentations, posters, and slide decks to support clinical studies lead by the Medical Affairs organization
• Oversee and manage Medical Communications projects and other related work to facilitate the achievement of both short- and long-term objectives for internal customer group(s) for which one has accountability.
• Develop and maintain effective working relationships with counterparts in other areas (i.e., MSL training, marketing) to fully understand business needs and identify how Medical Communications can meet such needs.
• Maintain and update databases containing scientific and medical data
• Other duties as requested and departmental needs dictate


Qualifications:
• A Master’s degree with a minimum 5 years of related (pharmaceutical) work experience OR a PhD/PharmD with a minimum of 1 year of related (pharmaceutical) work experience is required
• Working knowledge of oncology therapeutic area preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office with advanced proficiency in PowerPoint is required
• Experience using AMA guidelines is preferred.
• Excellent written/oral communication skills and presentation skills is required
