The Clinical Technician will be responsible for the execution of clinical studies involving clinical instrumentation including spectral, imaging, and color based technologies on human subjects.
The candidate will be assigned several projects but must be able to, at a minimum, make defined measurements to help develop new methodologies and to expertly run proprietary and standard software packages.
The candidate will take responsibility for collecting data that could later be used to help describe product benefits.
  • BS/MS Degree in a science field (imaging, color, computer, physics, optics, biophysics, biology)
  • The incumbent must be able to work in a clinical setting and be able to document the procedures and outcomes accordingly.
  • The incumbent must have excellent communication skills and be able to interact with panelists and management in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Proficiency in the use of clinical instruments and imaging systems. Familiarity with Excel, Python, ENVI/IDL, MatLab and computer workflow control systems a plus.
  • Demonstrated independent thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Function as a clinical investigator which includes conducting biophysical testing on human subjects
  • Learned use of clinical testing instrumentation to collect data from human subjects, ensuring collection of consistent, measurable data
  • Maintain detailed data logs for clinical studies and provide data on a timely basis
  • Perform data entry of raw data into EXCEL spreadsheets
  • Follow clinical testing protocols to ensure accurate testing parameters
  • Instruct panelists on proper use of test products and devices
  • Maintain a professional clinical atmosphere, demonstrate an excellent level of customer service, and ensure diversity sensitivity all for panelists on a daily basis
  • Maintain awareness of panelist issues, i.e. product adverse reactions, questionable compliance, etc., and escalate issues to Supervisor to ensure proper testing results.
  • Stay current on cosmetic field trends and technological developments of data collection instrumentation
  • Respond to requests from management, as necessary

At least a BS degree and comfortable with computers and technology are what they really need. It would be a big plus if they have some clinical experience (1-2 years). okay with 1-2 years of research experience through their university as well.
