Consumer Sciences Coordinator

Brief Description:

This position will support the Consumer Sciences and Consumer Perceptions Research teams with daily assignments and specific project task work.

Job Requirements:

  • College graduate.
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)
  • Must demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
  • Must possess ability to learn new systems/procedures quickly
  • Must be a team player, working well with all levels of management
  • Must be able to multi-task/prioritize in a fast-paced environment with meticulous attention to detail and accurate data entry skills
  • Any knowledge or experience in consumer/market/product research and/or the beauty industry a plus

  • Project Task Work:
  • Look up competitive brand sets to include in screeners as needed
  • Prepare shipping letters and email request to Shipping Department for projects
  • Send use-up product back to chemists/collect old retains to send to Wanda
  • Set-up report shells
  • Check claims charts/Proofread reports before going out
  • Gather normative information as needed (i.e. category norms, performance norms, etc.)
  • Highlight verbatim comments for reports (i.e., wow comments, comments that support findings, etc.)
  • Take photos of all products for reports
  • Review verbatim to highlight robust comments to be incorporated into sensory report
  • Review photos/videos to tag most relevant
  • Pull supportive info/secondary research for reports/project set-up
  • Handtab questionnaires (i.e., self-assessments, etc.) that are not being put through a tab house
  • Perform other adhoc work (such as, looking thru videos, pictures, etc.)
  • Data entry for research projects (both CPR and Consumer Sciences Charter work)
  • Update norms database with 2016 & 2017 (requires looking through all reports for scores and making sure search fields are consistent with naming of info (i.e. categories, product types, etc.))
  • Update category norm spreadsheet (requires calculations of normative information and entering info across key categories and regions)
  • Update RDS with bluebook info for projects
  • Scan reports into RDS
  • Manage questionnaire storage/filing
  • Attend all department/staff meetings and summarize all discussion from meetings. Make notes available to all team members.
  • Entering studies into database for Expert Grading
  • Allocating/Managing payments in system for consultants
  • Backfill the SharePoint screening form (will aid in recruitment so we don't have to screen as much)
  • Assist with Descriptive Analysis data entry and report set-up

Perform other duties as required/requested by Supervisor.
