Job Description:

Applies standard concepts, practices, procedures, regulatory guidelines and technical processes in the field of employment to the recruitment and staffing of exempt, non-exempt, hourly, professional and managerial positions with qualified talent through

Develop online job postings and perform searches for qualified candidates. Review employment applications and job posting to match applicants, and inform applicants of status. Maintain proper record keeping for hires, transfers, promotions, test results and other data as requested.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develop job postings to be displayed online that will attract candidates. Perform searches for qualified job candidates, using sources such as computer databases, networking, Internet recruiting resources, media advertisements, job fairs, recruiting firms, employee referrals, and other good faith efforts. Ensuring a geographically significant number of women and minorities are considered for open positions through affirmative action plans, diversity initiatives and other good faith efforts.

2. Review employment applications and job postings to match applicants with job requirements.

3. Prepare interview guides and interview schedules using the Selection For Excellence system.

4. Pursue and maintain education on recruitment trends, legal aspects of employment and general human resource practices. Including current knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) and affirmative action guidelines and laws, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).

5. Pursue and maintain relationships with candidates. Administer Microsoft tests; schedule skill, intelligence, or psychological tests; inform applicants about job duties, responsibilities, pay, benefits, hours of work, working conditions, company policies, and other related information. Contact job applicants to inform them of the status of their applications. Interpret and explain recruitment and staffing policies, procedures, laws, standards, or regulations to candidates, which may include career counseling to employees seeking assistance.

6. Maintain proper record keeping for hires, transfers, promotions, test results, and other data as requested. Prepare and process hiring-related paperwork.

7. May provide assistance for special or on-going assignments such as vendor selection, new team member orientation, trade shows, and recruitment programs such as In-roads, Co-Ops and BCEs.


RELATIONSHIPS:

Internal: Hiring supervisors/managers at all levels, recruitment staff, human resources staff in safety, security, HRIS, payroll, compensation, employee & labor relations, employee and organizational development departments and internal applicants.

External: External applicants/candidates, college career centers and alumni associations, agency and web based recruitment services, government agencies, professional associations, outplacement firms and staffing firms.


QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Required: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or other related field required.

Preferred: PHR/SPHR preferred.

Related Experience

Required: None

Preferred: 1-2 years of Recruitment/Staffing, Human Resources or other relevant experience. Applicant Tracking System experience.
