The R&D Assistant role is to provide ongoing R&D support to the Client portfolio of vitamins, mineral & supplements. Position requires working with other R&D associates, Process Engineers, Analytical Sciences, Quality Assurance, and Manufacturing in preparing and maintaining bulk product and finished product supporting documentation. The Documentation Specialist interacts with ingredient and product suppliers to obtain and review necessary information, both technical and non-technical, required to establish and control manufacturing processes and ensures quality and consistency in products.
SCOPE / DIMENSIONS OF ROLE
•R&D support to a designated range of Client products, enabling defense, revenue growth and compliance of the brands.
•Interface with key partners and stakeholders (Supply, regulatory, local and global marketing, Category R&D) on a daily basis.
• Interface with suppliers to obtain documentation as needed.
RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES
•Contribute to project support related to documentation gathering, reviewing, and filing for key projects, ensuring that these are executed to the standards required for vitamins and registered products.
•Contribute to project work ensuring all required documentation and dossier preparation are performed on time and to the required standards.
•Send RMQ to suppliers and seek approval with appropriate internal functions
•Create draft TDS code for raw materials and bulk products
•Write and review documents as requested. These documents include but are not limited to 100 gram statements, PSER requests, PSDS, Tech Transfer documents, dossiers, etc.
•In conjunction with Formulation Associates research, write, and review raw material specifications.
•Create folders and trackers in Documentum for raw materials as part of RMQ
•Create sample group template in Starlim
•Managing a wide variety of projects across a number of differing brands and technology platforms.
•Self starting and independent working.
•Liaison with colleagues across the international R&D community to provide technical support.
•Provision of a fast paced scientific service to demanding customers with challenging timelines.
PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS/ EXPERIENCE
•Educated to Degree level (Food Science, Chemistry, chemical engineering or other degree)
•Minimum 1 years R&D experience with a proven track record of delivery.
•Experience of working in a Healthcare or VMS environment is desirable.
•Experience of prioritization and problem solving.

•Client is a global business, candidates should be open to relocate internationally for career development and challenge
•The business language in Client is English, therefore fluency in English is essential and fluency in local languages advantageous
