Job Description: SharePoint Analyst

Summary:
Provides database administration support to assigned projects, provide technical guidance to project team members and other database administrators. Essential Functions: o Solves database issues working with other DBAs as needed. o Tunes and troubleshoots databases and database applications. o Performs standard database administration tasks, such as DBMS installations and upgrades, moving system databases, migrating databases, changing server configuration parameters, and dropping/adding users and logins. o Develops and manages custom database objects. o Deploys data updates and database schema changes to development, test, and production environments. o Develops, tests, and implements SQL scripts as needed. o Identifies, develops, and documents database processes and procedures. o Automates database processes where appropriate. o Participates in the DBA on-call rotation. o Ensures that assigned tasks are completed on or ahead of schedule. o Prioritizes assigned tasks appropriately with assistance from management as needed. Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: o Knowledge of SQL Server 2005/2008 administration and tuning skills o Ability to work independently on database tasks, identify potential issues, and complete tasks on or ahead of schedule o Ability to work effectively with others o Ability to be self-motivated and take initiative to identify, communicate, and resolve potential issues o Excellent problem solving, and verbal and written communication skills o Ability to abide by policies o Ability to maintain attendance to support required quality and quantity of work o Maintain confidentiality and comply with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) o Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationships with coworkers, clients, members, providers and customers

Required Education: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience Required Experience: 8-10 years as a MS SQL Server database administrator experience in a production environment. Familiarity and comfort with ordinary database maintenance tasks, such as moving tempdb, migrating databases, changing server configuration parameters, dropping/adding users and logins. Solid understanding of relational theory and how it applies to production environments.
