IBM Big Fix Systems Analyst

Job Description:
The person filling the position will provide comprehensive patching, release, and operations support for enterprise systems IBM BigFix. Strong technical experience in providing technical solutions and support to hardware, software and operating systems.
The right candidate must be able to work with team members at various levels to ensure the smooth deployment of applications, manage devices, and provide system security, within a high performance environment of a large enterprise.
 
Role and Responsibilities:
  • Implementing and daily operation of the CDM/BigFix, may perform Big Fix administration duties
  • Assist, create and document a patch management strategy, along with perform patch management activities
  • Develop metrics of compliance, and reports for workflows
  • Prepare for upcoming systems audit
  • Mitigation/remediation of fix actions
  • End Point Analysis for risk and security assessment
  • Remediation through the Big Fix tool
  • May provide technical support and troubleshooting to users
  • Maintains current and knowledge of relevant technology as assigned
  • Provide technical documentation on the Big Fix instance that you will be supporting and delivering on
  • Participates in special projects as assigned
 
Basic Qualifications:
  • 3+ years' of experience with designing, implementing, configuring, and operating CDM tools
  • 3+ years' of experience with performing systems administration in Windows, Linux, or VMware environments, including performing basic troubleshooting, installation, or configuration, monitoring system performance or availability, and performing security upgrades
  • 3+ years' of experience with security tool administration or OS or application hardening, including STIG implementation or 1+ years of experience with performing software assurance, management, or configuration with security tools, including IBM BigFix, Microsoft SCCM or SCOM, or customized capabilities
  • 3+ years' experience with Microsoft SCCM products, including SCCM 2012 administration and Microsoft patching and deployments in a large enterprise environment. 
  • 3+ years' experience Windows 7/8.1 technical support experience with knowledge of the Windows registry, file and folder security, local/domain user security, GPOs, and operating system troubleshooting. 
  • 3+ years' experience Windows Active Directory technical support experience with knowledge of OU structures, AD security, local and group policy, and various scripting languages including MS PowerShell, and batch.
 
Desired Skills:
  • 2+ years' experience System Center Endpoint Protection 
  • 2+ years' experience with Windows 7 deployment technologies such as the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit, System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) image creation and maintenance, and user state migration is a plus
  • 2+ years' experience with setup, test and deploy Hyper-V in pilot and production environments.
  • 2+ years' experience working in organizations using Change Management procedures is required.
  • Strong organization and communications skills; must clearly communicate technical issues and resolutions to team, customers, and management.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a project team.
