Job Title: Materials Handler
Contract to Hire
Follow standardized procedures and methods to check, store, assemble and deliver a variety of production parts, materials and supplies.
Unload incoming stock with hand truck or forklift; check for quantity, type and condition, tag parts as required and store in designated locations, enter reports on appropriate record cards, notify proper supervision of any discrepancies. Assemble stock upon receipt of order and deliver or prepare for delivery to proper department. Assist in taking periodic inventories. Assist in assembling, bagging, sealing and identifying stock items. Box, tray, or otherwise pack parts for service and store stock items for future use.
Maintain accurate inventory records of all incoming and outgoing materials. Prepare reports as required. Notify proper supervision when stock items reach minimum inventory levels.
Knowledgeable in all stock functions and ability to perform various other related or associated duties as assigned or directed.
Detect unusual conditions or specific problems and report to proper supervision. Observe good housekeeping practices and follow prescribed safety precautions.
Duties may include handling of hazardous materials and managing hazardous wastes in accordance with SWECO's policies and procedures.
? Lift at least 50 lbs from floor to knuckles level on an occasional basis,
? Lift at least 50 lbs from floor to waist level on an occasional basis,
? Lift at least 25 lbs from floor to shoulder level on an occasional basis, and
? Carry at least 50 lbs for a minimum distance of 100 feet on an occasional basis

TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE:
High school diploma or equivalent required. 3 years warehouse experience.
