HVAC Mechanic

Pay Rate : $ 25.00 - 46.00 /Hour
Job Description: You are responsible for the diagnosis, maintenance, installation and repair of various types of HVAC, heating and filtering equipment to ensure that such systems are functioning effectively and efficiently.               
Education Requirement: Associates degree or higher in relevant field
Trade or vocational school is strongly preferred
Proficiency in the use of Maximo CMMS system
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: You must have experience installing, troubleshooting, and servicing chillers, package systems and split systems as well as equipment for air conditioning, refrigeration, heating, climate and air quality control systems.                                                                  
Hours: You will typically work a regular schedule but will be called upon out of hours for emergency repairs, or to provide coverage under circumstances including extreme weather conditions or important campus events
Other Information: You will standard operating procedures as continuously defined by the university, complying with safety norms and regulations and meeting reasonable deadlines for efficiency, installs, repairs, adjusts, maintains and troubleshoots all heating, ventilating and air conditioning systems
Other Systems: Building Automation System (Client), Metasys & Schneider Electric systems, Refrigerant controls (metering devices), Chiller systems and controls, Hermetic compressors, Heat Pumps to 10-ton,  Split systems to 10-ton, Packaged units to 10-ton, Duct or Ductless splits, Electric Motors (3-phase and 1-phase), Electric motor controls (contractors, starters, relays, disconnect, thermostats, etc.), Light commercial furnaces, boilers, burners and related controls (oil and gas), Various types of water pumps, Intake and exhaust fans, Unit heaters (hot water, steam and electric), Hand and power tools and HVAC /electrical measuring equipment, Economizers, Humidifiers
