Clinical Systems Analyst

Under the direction of the Quality and Safety Director, the Clinical Data Analyst, Senior is responsible for inventorying customers and data sources/processes to identify information needs; establishes appropriate system for data collection, analysis and dissemination of information to internal and external customers; coordinates data and reports related to regulatory and accreditation agencies, such as TJC, state licensure, Medicare and Medicaid. Maintains knowledge of information management systems, including data input and report writing.
Required Skills/Experience:

Able to work independently and as a team member; possesses excellent listening, analytical, time management and prioritization skills Possesses excellent written and verbal communication skills Expert knowledge of medical terminology including disease/procedure classification systems such as ICD9-CM Knowledge of anatomy and physiology to support clinical record review and abstraction Able to accurately and efficiently abstract information from the medical record into other clinical data systems Skilled working with Windows based software applications including word processing, spreadsheets, and database. Database design experience is desirable, but not required Possesses expert understanding of database structures, tools, and concepts; adept working with relational databases Experienced with statistical software (e.g. SPSS, MiniTab) and run/statistical process control charts
