Associate Project Manager I

Job Description:  Project Description: Under supervision, assist Resident Engineer, or Construction Manager
with capital projects in various Boroughs ofNew York City.

  Description of Work: Construction Contract Administration and Field Supervision:
• Coordinate Contractor day to day field activities with NYCT operations.
• Process paperwork to request for flaggers and General Orders
• Review contractor submittals, shop drawings, as built drawings and provide technical support
during construction.
• Create logs using excel (shop drawing submittals, additional work orders)
• Performed construction site inspection to ensure compliance with contract specification and
contract drawings.
• Coordinate Commissioning Activities
• Prepare detailed inspector's daily construction reports.
• Prepare monthly project status report, write memos, and letters.
• Prepare scope of work letters and estimates for Additional Work Orders
• Attend field meetings with Contractors and NYCT user departments.
• Reviewed contractor's monthly payment requisition.                                                                                                
Education Requirement: Bachelor Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE)
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities: Experience Requirements: Minimum five years of Construction Experience in the installation
of AC Electrical Power and Lighting Systems. Must have the ability to read and interpret
Contract drawings and specifications. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with
good written and verbal communication skills.

Licensing Requirements: Professional Engineers License is preferred but not required.

Special Skills/Training Requirements: Must have OSHA 10.0 Hours Training. Having
attended NYCT track training and PMG 123 training is preferred but not required.
Hours: Normal Work Week: Monday to Friday, Saturday and/or Sunday, will be required to work
various shifts.
No. of Paid Hours Per Week: 40 Hours
(NYCT does not pay for one hour lunch period.)
Hours of Work: Various Shifts
8 Hour Shift plus 1 hour unpaid lunch
Extended Hours and Saturday/Sunday as required.
• Technical Function: 80%
• Administrative Function: 20%

Other Information: Duration of Service Required: 52 Weeks and could be extended as needed
