Job Description & Responsibilities:
  • Candidate will be making outbound calls to Freight Carriers, taking inbound calls, gathering tracking information from carriers, uploading data in Excel spreadsheets, updating information in SAP system.
  • This position has at its core the Department of Census filings via AES, ACE or AESDirect.
  • The potential candidate will be responsible for filing, auditing and amending submissions.
  • The candidate should be able to determine the applicability of routed export transactions.
  • An additional responsibility of this position is to reach out to freight forwarders and carriers to obtain the most current shipment and export information for auditing and recordkeeping purposes.
  • The candidate should be familiar with Trade Data that is utilized in import/export transactions.
  • The data that we'll be dealing with are Harmonized Tariff Classifications, Schedule Bs, Export Control Classification Numbers, US Munitions List, weights, measures and conversion factors.
  • Normally our shipments are managed through our SAP/GTS systems but occasionally we need additional support for special shipments that do not fit nicely in to our systems.
  • During these times we will need to manually validate shipments and be involved in the creation of commercial invoices and other Shipping Documents as needed.
  • It will be helpful for this person to have a personality that enjoys providing trade compliance service for our internal and external customers.
  • In order to successfully manage their work, the candidate will need to have a working knowledge of the MS Office Suite including Outlook, Excel, Word and Power Point.
  • Additional applications that would be preferred are Adobe, SAP and GTS.
Skills & Qualifications:
  • MS Office Suite, (Outlook, Excel, Word)
  • SAP, Adobe and GTS
  • AES, ACE and AESDirect
  • College Degree (or High School Diploma and substancial industry work experience.)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in support of international operations; aircraft industry experience; decentralized global supply chain controls.
