Job Title: Control Room Operator
Work Location: Pecos, TX
Duration: Long-term contract
Education/Experience Required: High School Diploma or equivalent

Job Description & Responsibilities:
  • Accountable for production performance for assigned automated wells during night shift operations
  • Monitor well automation and alarms in the Operational Control Center and dispatch night crews to maximize well performance and run time
  • Coordinate oil and water trucking resources to minimize sales rejections
  • Primary responder to night calls from contractors
  • Assures the automation optimizers interact with the Production staff to communicate best practices for the technology utilized by the business unit
  • Provides work request to maintenance and/or Information Technology, as equipment and software needs attention
  • Participates in the collection, reporting, and analysis of Key Performance Indicators
  • Provides variance reports to field daily staff to assist with task prioritization
  • Monitor Cart-a-site for night crews (employees and contractors) to ensure safe operations
  • Monitor production tank fluid levels and coordinates night crews for tank switches to mitigate spills
  • Monitor new well performance to included production rates, gas lift rates and pressures, Pumping Units, ESP's and compressor run times
  • Create data graphs and reports, as requested
  • Provides feedback to both Base Subsurface and Base Production to assist in problem solving
  • Uses Base Production SOP's and Best Practices to ensure standardized methodology
  • Reports to Foreman daily to ensure all projects are completed in a timely manner and prioritized by production
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Typically requires High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Five years of pumping or related experience, preferred
  • Associate's degree in math or engineering, or relevant discipline preferred
  • Driver's license and good driving record
  • Ability to work significant amount of time as required in completing job responsibilities.
  • Ability to work weekend rotations.
  • Daily driving of approximately 90 miles or more as required completing assigned jobs and/or repairs.
  • Exposure to and driving in all weather conditions, including extreme heat, extreme cold, sun, rain, hail, sleet, high winds, etc. to run well routes and inspect and repair equipment.
  • Working environment includes exposure to extremely loud noises in field, hazardous chemicals, and hydrocarbons that may be under extreme pressure for which appropriate safety measures are required. Also includes working with moving machinery/equipment parts for which extreme caution must be taken.
