Paladin Consulting is currently hiring a SCOM Consultant to join our team working onsite at our client's office located in Irving, TX.

Job Title: SCOM Consultant
Work Location: Irving, TX
Duration: 3 month contract with option to hire

Job Description:

Our client is in Phase 4 of a SCOM Upgrade/Migration.  They are currently on 2012 but going to latest version. 

Responsibilities:
  • Migrate/upgrade test environment
    • Install SCOM 2016/1801 environment
    • Management servers, SQL Servers, Web Console, and Gateways
    • Configure SCOM default settings
    • Multi-home agents to old and new management groups
    • Multi-home non-Windows agents
    • Export existing management packs from the old environment and import them to the new environment
    • Setup other SCOM components which include, but are not limited to the following:
      • Audit Collection Services (ACS)
      • Dashboarding
      • Operation Management Suite (OMS) connection
      • Reports
      • Subscriptions
      • Connectors etc.
    • Test functionality and compare side by side alerting  
    • Document upgrade processes
  • Migrate/Upgrade production environment
    • Repeat scope from Test environment using lessons learned and documented processes
  • Decommission SCOM 2012 environment
    • Clean out the old SCOM by first removing the multi-homing to only talk to the new SCOM
    • Breakdown SCOM 2012 server infrastructure
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Deep in SCOM but has some knowledge around other things such as SCCM, Exchange, etc.
  • 5+ year's SCOM design experience
