Duration: 6 month contract with option to extend or hire

Job Description:
  • The Service Design Architect will develop Service Design Methodology and frameworks to support Product and Feature launches. This includes definition of service prototypes, blueprints and customer journey maps and partnering with the training team to ensure internal teams are empowered with the tools and information they need to support all new launches. Service Design Architect will help implement the Service Design strategy to enable an effortless user experience.
  • Create, own and develop Service Design Packages in order to ensure consistent and effective delivery of all new or changed Datacenter Services into operation.
  • 25 % travel within in the US
Responsibilities:
  • Primarily responsible for the development of IT solutions for clients using company products, outsourced IT solutions and/or proprietary tools/techniques that others implement.
  • Defines client needs and develops a plan and proposal for delivery of the project.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership and drive a customer-first mindset through product management team and the broader enterprise.
  • Plans and co-ordinates resources and capabilities required to design new or change existing service.
  • Ensures that appropriate service designs / SDPs are developed and handed over to transition processes thru Product Engineering and SD&R.
  • Ensures that design of process, services, information, technology and metrics meet both business and customer requirements.
  • Improves effectiveness and efficiency of the service design processes and activities.
  • Develop, Create and own Service Design Packages detailing key service requirements, design & technical details, transition & testing policies & plans, required operational skills & artefacts.
  • Responsible for supporting product management and engineering teams in delivering service designs by ensuring requirements are fully gathered in accordance to the client's Product Development Lifecycle.
  • Ensure a consistent approach to designing new or changed services is adopted throughout the lifecycle.
  • Ensure the right resources and capabilities are identified to build a Service Design Package to help support the delivery of a service into operation.
  • Identify and manage process issues, problems and improvement opportunities.
  • Work supportively with colleagues, operating in a collegiate manner at all times and in line with the Company's values.
Skills & Requirements:
  • US Citizen or GC
  • At least 3+ years' experience  
  • Team wants someone that wants to be an employee after the contract.
  • In-depth knowledge and experience within a relevant service design & delivery discipline or framework.Ideal candidate has 2+ years IT Service design experience
  • Expertise in service design tools such as journey maps, service blueprint/workflows and service prototyping.
  • A strong technical & service technical background in order to identify opportunities or potential problems – addressing them effectively and efficiently
  • Extensive experience in service design and/or strategy consulting
  • Experience of being highly accountable for the design and quality of key documentation and processes.
  • This role will involve co-ordination and communication with various skilled groups and individuals within the client's organization, therefore the role requires high organisational, collaboration and excellent communication skills.
  • Organized, self-motivated, and detail-oriented, with the ability to work autonomously and be a self-starter in a demanding environment.
  • Ability to respond positively and calmly to shifting priorities, demands and timelines.
