Paladin Consulting is currently hiring a ­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­CAD Technician/Facilities Engineer to join our team working onsite at our client's office located in Zebulon, NC.

Job Title: CAD Technician/Facilities Engineer
Work Location: Zebulon, NC
Duration: Long-term contract

Job Description & Responsibilities:
  • Under the direction of the CAD team supervisor, assist in the drawing management process at a large industrial facility.
  • Use AutoCAD to make changes to facilities and equipment drawings as provided by various engineers and project managers.
  • CAD work will be in alignment with the site drawing standards.
  • Process the final approved drawings and enter them into the customer's drawing management system.
  • Development and implementation of clear, complete and accurate working drawings from red-lined or design packages.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed
  • Develop and revise drawings for facilities and equipment.
  • Perform engineering change processes as necessary to support drawing requests.
  • Ability to stay up to date in the site's procedural and safety training.
  • Generate and scan prints.
  • Ability to perform mechanical design calculations
  • Test prototypes and standard products and write reports to document the results.
  • Categorize a wide arrangement of existing parts.
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Skills & Qualifications:
  • Must be proficient in AutoCAD 2015 and be familiar with working within a controlled Drawing Management system.
  • Intermediate level user of the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good communication skills with customers and other CAD team members.
  • Detail oriented individual with an emphasis on drawing quality and accuracy.
  • Ability to learn quickly and to easily transition between assignments.
  • Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner so that you get along with customers, clients, co-workers and management.
  • Strong emphasis on customer service.
  • Continue to grow lean knowledge and use the tools to identify and assist with continuous improvement.
  • Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas.
