Production Support - Distributed Applications

Summary The person that steps into this senior technical role will focus on distributed applications Portfolio Viewer (web applications/APIs/SOAP/REST), Falcon, Dispute Case Manager, and the Integrated Data Repository (to include batch). Knowledge of Java, Oracle DBs, TOAD, Splunk, and Dynatrace are also required.

Highly proficient in supporting Portfolio Viewer (web applications/APIs/SOAP/REST), Falcon, Dispute Case Manager, and the Integrated Data Repository (to include batch). Expert level knowledge of Java, Oracle DBs, TOAD, Splunk, and Dynatrace are also required.
  • Provide the required support for all operational aspects of distributed applications by business operations unit (50%)
  • Collaborate with and provide technical support where required to both internal and external customer testing teams to ensure predefined release schedules are not impacted.
  • Provide timely and effective on 7x24 on call support to address BAU operational tasks and customer impacting events.
  • Contribute to and participate in all relevant business operations meetings and technical response team activities.
  • Ensure timing and coordination of peripheral application changes are in alignment with portfolio viewer application and architecture design to
eliminate or minimize customer impact. Including but not limited to the following applications: Base24 - Debit ATM & authorization switch. (CAMs) Cardholder Account Management System. (PM) Payments Manager Financial Settlement system. (Falcon) Fraud prevention and scoring application.
  • Provide technical assessments for portfolio viewer and all other interdependent application changes.
  • Maintain and update procedures and documentation in support of annual disaster recovery exercises.
  • Provide portfolio viewer operational training for appropriate support teams in support of annual recovery exercises.
  • Adhere to existing process and change control requirements while utilizing change control tools GSM & Remedy.
  • Provide support for all aspects of architecture and technical refresh initiatives for the portfolio viewer application, Falcon and Dispute Case Manager:
  • Participate in design and requirement review meetings in relation to all portfolio architecture upgrade initiatives.
  • In working with internal platform services team review and provide technical assessments of all architecture based upgrades and or configuration changes.
  • Perform pre and post architecture upgrade platform performance analysis. And as appropriate perform application tuning to address and or enhance hardware (CPU, DISK & IO) performance.
  • Provide technical and implementation support for application code & configuration enhancements (25%)
  • Collaborate with development & business operations teams as required to deploy application code upgrades, enhancements and defect remediation fixes.
  • Provide detailed implementation and blackout procedures as required for code and configuration deployments.
  • Review all primary and third party vendor software documentation relevant to all operating system upgrade and patching initiatives.
  • Provide detailed pre and post release and configuration analysis & review of application response time and performance.
Minimum degree/education level required: Bachelors
Fields of acceptable educational study: Math, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Physics, Computer Science
Minimum required years of experience (please note, this refers to the requirements of the position, not the number of years of experience possessed by the foreign national): 7-10 Years
