Based in Atlanta, GA at our corporate headquarters, the Sr. Consultant, Business Process Improvement will be the internal champion for building a continuous improvement culture by creating and implementing process excellence across all business segments under the Cor Partners umbrella of companies. This includes supporting organization-wide continuous improvement communication, facilitate and guide improvement projects, develop additional continuous improvement advocates across the organization and educate team members on core continuous improvement tools and methodologies.
The Business Process Improvement Sr. Consultant will have the opportunity to create an immediate impact on the organization. This position will have the chance to contribute to our most important organizational initiatives. The role will require heavy travel to our locations across the country.
  • Lead process mapping and improvement events and projects in each of the business segments under the direction of the EVP, Operations for Cor Partners.
  • Directs and facilitates the ongoing lean improvement process through the use of techniques such as Kaizen, 5'S, TPM, Kanban, Policy Deployment, etc.
  • Provides lean improvement orientation and on-the-job training for teammates and ensures that the responsibilities are defined and understood, and oversees the lean projects.
  • Drive continuous improvement educational efforts across the organization to develop formal and informal continuous improvement champions throughout the organization. Teach others to lead improvement efforts, including training on effective tools for successful project leadership.
  • Identify ongoing lean improvement training needs and assist with developing and implementing the required training.
  • Ensure that appropriate safety and ergonomic processes and methods are being utilized. Identify needs relating to improvements in safety/ergonomics and assist in developing and implementing solutions to these issues.
  • Establish metrics to monitor financial savings as compared to established goals and targets.
  • Develop and maintain annual value stream mapping efforts, CI plans, and calendars.
  • Establish appropriate communication and recognition protocols for sharing Continuous Improvement news, activities and learnings across the organization. Share information and collaborate with divisional leaders across business segments.
  • BS/BA in Business Administration, Finance, Technology or relevant area of study
  • Certification in Six Sigma or other Lean methodology
  • Intermediate to advanced level skill with analytical tools and presentation tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to travel overnight up to 50% of the time for business trips

  • Strong project management and process excellence skills including the ability to (i) facilitate improvement across many facets of a business, (ii) work independently, (iii) build consensus amongst diverse teams and (iv) lead projects through to a conclusion despite a distributed workforce.
  • Demonstrated experience leading large and small scale change management initiatives
  • Strong communication skills- both electronic and interpersonal
  • Ability to develop relationships with frontline associates and senior leaders
