Job Title: Business Development Manager – IT Staffing / IT Services (BFSI Focus)
Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced and result-driven Business Development Manager with a strong background in IT Staffing, IT Services, or both, specializing in client acquisition, account management, and revenue growth. The ideal candidate should have proven experience working with direct clients, implementation partners, and enterprise accounts, preferably within the BFSI (Banking, Financial Services & Insurance) domain.
This role requires strong expertise in generating new business opportunities, managing key client relationships, negotiating commercials, and coordinating with delivery teams to ensure successful closures.
Key Responsibilities:
Business Development & Client Acquisition
- Identify and acquire new clients through cold outreach, networking, referrals, LinkedIn, and market intelligence.
- Build and execute strategic plans to open new logos and expand existing accounts.
- Develop a strong sales pipeline and consistently meet monthly/quarterly revenue targets.
- Manage the complete client acquisition lifecycle from prospecting to closure.
Account Management
- Handle and grow strategic accounts, especially BFSI clients such as banking and financial institutions.
- Build relationships with decision-makers including VP, Director, Hiring Managers, Procurement, and HR stakeholders.
- Conduct regular client connects to understand hiring plans, backfills, and upcoming opportunities.
- Manage client escalations and ensure high client satisfaction.
IT Staffing & Delivery Coordination
- Strong understanding of IT staffing lifecycle including Contract, C2H, and FTE hiring models.
- Work closely with recruitment/delivery teams to ensure quality submissions and timely closures.
- Monitor KPIs such as submissions, interviews, closures, ratios, and account performance.
- Manage client expectations during delays or delivery challenges.
Commercials & Contracts
- Negotiate rates, margins, and pricing with clients.
- Work on MSA, SOW, rate cards, and staffing agreements.
- Handle pricing pressure while maintaining profitability.
BFSI Domain Expertise
- Strong experience handling BFSI clients such as banking and financial institutions.
- Understanding of compliance, background verification, and hiring regulations in BFSI staffing.
- Ability to close niche technology and business roles within BFSI.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 10+ years of experience in Business Development / Sales within IT Staffing or IT Services.
- Proven experience working with direct clients and implementation partners.
- Strong exposure to BFSI domain clients (e.g., Wells Fargo, JPMorgan Chase, Brokerage, etc.).
- Demonstrated track record of revenue generation and target achievement.
- Experience in client hunting, farming, and account growth.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and decision-makers.
- Good understanding of IT hiring trends and delivery processes.
- Comfortable working in a target-driven, high-pressure environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Existing active client relationships that can be converted into business within 30–60 days.
- Experience managing large enterprise accounts.
- Ability to open immediate requirements and generate quick wins.
