Who we need
We are seeking an experienced Integration Developer to join our engineering teams, working on Client's Securities Finance and Collateral Management solutions team. This role is central to integrating our core platform with clients, partners, and third-party systems. You'll be responsible for developing, configuring, and supporting integrations that enable seamless data flow across upstream and downstream financial systems.
This is a hands-on technical role that bridges software development and client delivery — ideal for someone who loves solving complex data and connectivity challenges in a fast-moving financial technology environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain integrations between our fintech platform and external systems using Java and related technologies.
- Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and clients to understand integration requirements and translate them into robust technical implementations.
- Build and support interfaces leveraging a variety of formats and protocols (e.g., XML, JSON, CSV over MQ, SFTP, REST APIs).
- Configure, test, and deploy data transformation and messaging workflows to ensure accuracy, reliability, and security of financial data exchanges.
- Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues across development, testing, and production environments.
- Ensure integrations adhere to internal best practices as well as external compliance, audit, and security standards.
- Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to automate or streamline integration processes.
- Provide technical input into implementation planning, timelines, and risk assessments.
- Document integration specifications, designs, and operational runbooks.
Requirements / Qualifications and Experience
- A bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- Min of 7 years of relevant experience in any relevant role.
- Knowledge of Java and Oracle PL/SQL at a Moderate level.
- Scripting experience ( Shell, Groovy or similar) for automation.
- Proficiency in handling structured and semi-structured data formats (XML, JSON, CSV).
- Experience working with messaging and file transfer protocols such as MQ, SFTP, REST, SOAP, or Kafka.
- Familiarity with API design, consumption, and security practices (authentication, encryption, certificates, etc.).
- Understanding of error handling, logging, and monitoring within distributed integration processes.
- Proficiency with build and version control tools (Git, Perforce Maven/Gradle, Teamcity / Jenkins).
Nice to have:
Experience in the following areas is beneficial but not required for the role:
- Experience with financial data exchange standards (e.g., ISO 20022, FIX, SWIFT).
- Exposure to cloud-services (AWS, Azure).
- Experience with Linux. (Shell Scripting, Crontab etc)
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps principles.
