SWIFT / ISO 20022 Standards SME – SR2025 Release

We are seeking an experienced SWIFT / ISO 20022 Standards SME to support the upcoming SWIFT Standards Release 2025 (SR2025) scheduled for November 2025. This year's release has a larger-than-usual scope due to the combined ISO release. The SME will provide expertise, detailed analysis, and guidance to ensure our teams fully understand the changes and implement them effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret SWIFT Standards Release 2025 documentation.

  • Provide detailed inputs on the following SR2025 updates:

    • ISO message transition (MT to MX migration).

    • Hybrid address structures.

    • New messages (camt.025 & camt.024).

    • Allowance of special characters.

    • Enabling offset of +14:00 in CBPR+.

    • End-to-End Identification translation rules.

    • Usage rule changes in pacs.008 & pacs.009.

  • Advise development and testing teams on business/technical impacts.
  • Create mappings, translation rules, and validation requirements as needed.
  • Partner with internal payments, compliance, and operations teams to ensure readiness.
  • Conduct workshops / training sessions for project stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8–12+ years in Payments, SWIFT messaging, and ISO 20022.
  • Strong knowledge of MT/MX migration and ISO 20022 adoption programs.
  • Hands-on experience with CBPR+, HVPS+, T2/T2S Consolidation, Fedwire, CHIPS.
  • Expertise in pacs.008, pacs.009, camt messages (camt.024, camt.025), pain messages.
  • Familiarity with SWIFT MyStandards and translation/mapping tools.
  • Proven track record of advising banks / FIs on SWIFT Standards releases.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with sanctions screening impacts (special characters & addresses).

  • Knowledge of testing tools, simulators, and industry readiness programs.

  • Consulting experience with global banks or payment service providers.
