Cloud Engineer

Responsible for Cloud engineering tasks required to review of all CSP environments to verify security, availability, and scalability during migrations. 
Responsible for solving problems, work with customers, and have a technical background from a variety of different areas of expertise that may include Linux/Windows systems administration, database design and optimization, big data analysis, network administration, and DevOps. 
Responsible for providing the foundation for all Cloud services and the immaturity of Cloud offerings demands critical reviews for all components.
Develop documentation or presentations to support cyber security requirements that promotes understanding and meets DoD compliance requirements.
Use automated tools to analyze and detect anomalous behavior using real time/logged information to preclude and prevent internal attacks on information and computing resources.
Enforce web application firewall and proxy usage as appropriate to protect local and cloud environments.
Develop and implement a cloud metering system to establish thresholds for normal activity, report on anomalous traffic, and alert staff to key indicators for efficient/secure environments.

Are you able to deploy defensive measures to protect, monitor, analyze, detect and respond to unauthorized activity with DoD information systems and computer networks and defend information, computer and networks from disruption, denial, degradation or destruction.
The position shall include, but not be limited to, the employment of information assurance capabilities in response to CND alert or threat information and the capability to predict, analyze and defend against new attack vectors.
 
YOUR KNOWLEDGE BASE INCLUDES 
Practical experience migrating existing services from physical data centers to cloud providers.
Advise on an integrated, dynamic Cyber defense and leverage Cyber Security solutions to deliver Cyber Security operational services, including intrusion detection and prevention, situational awareness of network intrusions, security events and data spillage, and incident response actions within the Cloud environment.
A solid security baseline with a technical background from a variety of different areas of expertise that may include Linux/Windows systems administration, database design and optimization, big data analysis, network administration, and DevOps.
Understanding of web application firewall and proxy usage as appropriate to protect local and cloud environments.
Working knowledge of IA RMF process to obtain Authorization to Connect (ATC) and Authorization to Operate (ATO)

Active TS/SCI and pass a Counter Intelligence polygraph clearance.
