Note: Systems Engineering Support: Plan and engineer USAMRMC's IT systems infrastructure including the implementation and design of hardware and software

Job Description:
  • Oversee timely delivery of quality technical support service to thousands of end users
  • Assist with the development and testing of newly designed products for operational integrity and function
  • Provide high level technical support on a team of Service Desk Technicians
  • Responds to tickets in Remedy, answering and processing service desk calls, and emails
  • Develop, maintain and provide key stake holders with service desk documentation and regular status updates
  • Offers knowledge of the software or hardware systems being supported and effective personnel management skills

Required Experience:
Contractor shall provide Systems Engineer Support Services to include configuration and maintenance of network and equipment for MRMC's organizations. Tasks include the following:
  • Proven technical knowledge in the Windows, VM and Cisco networks area
  • Assist in maintaining IT infrastructure to include Servers, Network devices, Workstations, and Peripherals.
  • Review and Implement OS and Application Patches for Department of Defense Compliance with Information Assurance Vulnerability Alert (IAVA) Policy.
  • Conduct Audits for Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM) program and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Monitor and Scan Servers and Workstations to maintain security requirement compliance
  • Prepare required documentation such as POA&M reports, IAVA reports and Visio diagrams.
  • Configure and Maintain Active Directory services.
  • Configure and Maintain SCCM, WSUS, Symantec Endpoint server and Log Servers.
  • Configure and Maintain Group Policy Objects and User & Group Permissions.
  • Configure and Maintain VMware Servers and Virtual machines.
  • Monitor Servers and SANs physically for hardware failures.
  • Support End User issues and record problems and resolutions.
  • Maintaining Windows Patches / Virus Updates on end users machines
  • Provide Monthly Reports
  • Continually reviewing TATRC workstation configuration for RMF compliance
  • Trouble shooting all Gold Disk changes to group policy to ensure effectiveness and impact
  • Provide remote support of users
  • Testing software for remote support to keep workstations in the field updated to MEDCOM standards
  • Support approximately 140 users worldwide
  • Maintain equipment inventory for all workstations and peripherals on the LAN
  • Provide application training for users
  • Must have A+, Network+, MCSE, CCNA certifications in accordance with DoD Directive 8570.01, "Information Assurance Training, Certification, and Workforce Management

The contractor is required to have overall knowledge of USAMRMC's computing environments to include to the following:
  • Microsoft Windows 7 or newer (as required by Army/MEDCOM)
  • Microsoft Office Suite (Including MS Outlook (current version)

  • McAfee Antivirus
  • Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome browsers

Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, Management, Physical Science, or other technically related discipline.

Desired Experience:
At least 8-10 years of experience in a position with a similar size and scope.

Required Certification(s):
All staff are required to be at IAT Level II (described in DoD 8570.01M) and certified in their own CE.
