GIS Specialist. : Client is looking for a GIS Specialist with extensive and varied experience who will support map data editing and quality control, and validate existing data (including spatial data) while adhering to team policies and guidelines. The ideal candidate is meticulous, analytical, able to exercise objective judgement, as well as work quickly and efficiently. In addition to editing and analyzing data, the successful candidate will be able to drive global data quality improvements through cross-team collaboration.

Experience with OpenStreetMap.
Strong analytical skills and intuition, capable of making decisions based on analysis and experience.
Strong competence in data analysis and data mining.
Demonstrated experience scripting solutions for repetitive tasks (using tools such as Python, Bash)
Experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, PostgreSQL/PostGIS, iD and JOSM.
Able to work both in a team or independently when required, taking pride in data integrity and accuracy in analysis.
Self-driven with the ability to manage analysis projects across diverse team skill sets
Attention to detail, data accuracy and quality of output.
2+ years experience of relevant industry experience preferred.
Results oriented.
Inspect, process and edit data.
Experience with remote sensing and analyzing aerial imagery. Develop and manage analysis projects through cross-team coordination, to deliver the best geospatial analysis possible.
Communication of detailed analysis to a high-level audience for decision-making purposes.
Support creation of and review technical specifications.
Fluency in English is required. Skills in other languages (Russian/Ukrainian/Kazakh and other Cyrillic based languages, Farsi, Arabic, Khmer, Danish) preferred but not required.
Education BA/BS in Geography or relevant field.
