QA Engineer (Manual) - Intermediate

This is a hands-on QA position including but are not limited to manual deep dive testing (functional and regression), defect logging, creating of additional coverage and fix verification. Works collaboratively as part of the QA and development team to execute tests throughout the project lifecycle. Defines, creates, and maintains test data and scenarios as needed. Ability to think about different user behavior (good if experienced in "persona” based testing). Experience testing machine learning applications and think outside the box.


Qualifications: Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills. Strong communication and presentation/facilitation skills. Bachelors Degree in computer science or equivalent. Commercial experience in testing user interfaces and applications. Familiarity with defect management bug tracking systems. Understanding of Functional, System, Performance, Technical and Operational testing and the tools utilized. Experience with execution and reporting of both manual and automated test scripts. Knowledge of software development life cycle principles. Ability to work closely with developers and enable them to produce the best application possible. Ability to determine estimates of effort and impacts for a variety of solutions. Must have the ability to exercise sound independent judgment and discretion in establishing and maintaining strong working relationships with leadership and associates. Must be able to demonstrate strong analytical and issue resolution skills. Ability to work independently. Effective organizational & time management skills. Ability to multi-task and work in fast paced environment. Flexible to work variable schedules. PC skills: iOS and Mac applications setup and usage: Calendar, Messaging, E-Mail, Spotlight and Unix Shell (basic terminal usage) as well as other system apps. Automated functional testing experience using a structures language like Python a plus.
