Job Summary:
Product Design Integration Engineering Program Manager (PD EPM) in Hardware Engineering responsible for managing mechanical system integration on new Mac products from concept to product launch, working with cross functional teams.

Key Qualifications:
5+ years experience in HW Program Management or Engineering Management work - direct experience managing complex mechanical integration issues in development
Leadership skills and ability to inspire team members
Excellent communication, organizational and leadership skills
Self motivated and proactive with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
Understands and deals well with rapid development cycles; remains flexible and calm in the face of uncertainty
Knowledge of product development processes as well as an understanding of
manufacturing, assembly, and test processes
Working knowledge and experience with engineering project lifecycle and product development phases
Ability to support limited international travel

Job Description:
Successful candidates will have a proven track record of enabling large cross-functional teams to deliver complex systems quickly and with high quality. The ideal candidate will understand the who, what, and how of hardware mechanical system integration, work with the System team to orchestrate all of it into a program plan and schedule, then successfully manage communication and execution of the program plan.

Key Responsibilities:
Support product design definition and drive closure on technical opens throughout the product development lifecycle
Work closely with product design engineers, vendors, and operations teams to drive delivery of mechanical parts to meet overall project schedule
Support prototype build activities; driving schedule, tracking issues to closure, managing experiments, and reporting progress
Identify and highlight technical risk areas and develop mitigation strategies in partnership with engineers and technologists.
Cross-functionally communicate, at a very senior level, key developments and updates on new projects/products
Drive the day-to-day activities to meet the overall program objectives focusing on process within engineering design, build, and validation cycles

Education:
BS degree in Engineering required, Mechanical Engineering preferred.
