pathology IT Yes 3-5 yrs

Seasoned digital pathology software consultant is needed to build pathology IT capabilities for Client translational medicine.
• Expertise with management of pathology imaging systems and underlying technology platforms
• Expertise with workflow, image analysis tools and technology for pathology whole slide imaging


• Hands-on analysis, implementation and testing of pathology whole slide imaging systems, image analysis tools and underlying technology
• Collaboration with pathologists and technologists in the development of Client image analysis technology (including machine learning) and tools for whole slide images and in the preparation, review and finalization of future image analysis algorithm development and project work
• Active participation as part of the Radiology/Pathology IT team developing/updating the Imaging IT roadmap

Skills Required

• Four or more years of related experience in a clinical imaging (pathology) healthcare IT setting (central lab, core lab, CRO, hospital, etc.)
• Prior experience with whole slide imaging software such as eSlideManager, HALO and Visiopharm
• Prior experience with pathology imaging systems, including acquisition, storage, management, retrieval and analysis functionality
• Familiarity with the operation and performance of cloud based pathology imaging systems
• Knowledge of imaging data formats (Aperio, .sis, .svs, .qptidd, .im3) and related analysis/processing algorithms
• Expertise in Matlab, ImageJ, Java, XML and prior experience with MySQL or Oracle database technology platforms
• Familiarity with Machine Learning (AI) as applied to pathology image analysis
• Hands-on experience with product development life cycle and supporting documentation
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Ability to work well under pressure and on concurrent multidisciplinary projects
• Master's degree in life science, engineering or related fields.
