Sr. Contracts Analyst

Staff Perm is assisting a Global Procurement company in sourcing and hiring a Contracts Analyst with primary responsibilities to work closely with business lines throughout the organization to provide guidance on a variety of contract-related matters. In coordination with the Legal and Procurement Departments, the Contracts Department is responsible for facilitating the review, negotiation, and execution of third-party and affiliate contracts.

As part of the Contracts team, you'll review contract requests submitted to you from our business lines, and independently work with the appropriate team members to gain an understanding of the business-needs surrounding the agreement. You'll then be responsible for engaging our Legal and Procurement teams as necessary to ensure the contract is drafted, negotiated, and executed in compliance with our internal Procedure and Policies.

POSITION: Full Time - Nonexempt

  • Responsible for the preparation, administration, and maintenance of third-party and affiliate contracts
  • Review and analyze contracts from legal, compliance, risk, and business perspectives and escalate issues as needed
  • Assist department staff with various contract related projects and handle all administrative aspects of contract processing
Relationship Management
  • Provide oversight and direction of the contract process for sourcing team members, as set for the in the Contracts Procedure
  • Discuss contemplated agreements with business units
  • Support team and business units by responding to contract-related inquiries, and act as legal liaison for business units
  • Review existing agreements to identify information pertinent to legal review of new documents
  • Evaluate potential legal concerns involved with agreements
  • Select appropriate contract forms for business units based on analysis
Internal Continuous Improvement
  • Update, maintain, and ensure the accuracy of an internal contract information database

  • Bachelor's degree
  • (3) three or more years of experience in Contracts Analysis required

  • Ability to work well in a high volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to analyze and evaluate contracts from multiple perspectives (legal, risk, compliance, finance, etc.) to identify potential issues
  • Ability to define problems, organize relevant information, establish facts, and draw and defend valid conclusions
  • Solid organizational skills; can manage multiple & competing priorities while achieving results
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact effectively with all levels in a large corporate organization
  • Ability to be a team player and work independently on matters within the position
  • PC skills, particularly MS Office Suite
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
