Our direct client is seeking a Jr. NET Developer to work in their Newark, NJ location. This is a 12 month contract to hire role. Please provide your desired salary when applying to this role.

We can work on C2C or W2 during the contract portion however the consultant should be able convert into a permanent role without visa transfers/sponsorships/visa extensions.

  • This individual will become part of a team supporting the information technology requirements of the company's Mutual Funds business.
  • Reporting to a team lead, responsible for systems analysis and design, application development, routine maintenance and production support.
  • Provides technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies which assist the business functions in meeting their strategic objectives.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
  • Consultant will be responsible for application development, routine maintenance and production support for the PCOM application, which provides data collection, content management and publishing services to the Performance Communications business function.

Required Skills:
  • Minimum 3-7 years of TOTAL experience in the IT. This is a junior role
  • 3-7 years hands on TOTAL experience with Microsoft .NET technologies including C#, ASP.NET and SQL.
  • Strong web development skills including HTML, CSS, Javascript (jQuery) XML/XSL, Bootstrap, Angular JS, JSON.
  • Strong database design and development skills using Microsoft SQL Server.
  • Experience in developing n-tier applications for internal and external audiences.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work equally well independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting all project commitments.
  • Flexible enough to succeed whether assigned large project initiatives or routine maintenance and support tasks.
  • Experience with financial services applications preferred.
  • Knowledge of mutual funds business a plus.

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
