Senior Consultant – Accounting and Finance

Our Direct Client located in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida is seeking a Manager Consultant for a permanent opportunity.

Our Client is headquartered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and is expanding our team in Houston and Detroit.

We are seeking to hire a talented full-time employee at the SENIOR level who has public accounting and/or other professional client service/consulting experience. The benefits are flexibility, work-life balance and reduced hours compared to what the candidate may have experienced in public accounting. The candidate must be available to travel 30% or more, as needed.

This is a Full-Time Permanent job at the SENIOR level, requiring 2 to 4 years of accounting experience. The right candidate will have the opportunity to collaborate with a team of experienced professionals involved in engagements in a variety of industries and functions, such as but not limited to, projects related to corporate transformation, transactions, compliance, assisting in transaction-related projects, private equity, buy-side due diligence, integrating new acquisitions, FP&A and helping companies comply with regulatory and reporting requirements, including SOX internal controls. This is clearly a position where the candidate will have an opportunity to gain a broad base of experience in both accounting and finance. We work with a wide variety of clients across a broad spectrum of industries and businesses.

Required Skills:
  • 2 to 4 years of accounting experience, with a background in public accounting and/or other professional client service/consulting required. Big 4 is a plus as well but not required.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting.
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements (SEC experience preferred).
  • Effective analytical skills.
  • Experience and strong understanding of SOX internal control documentation, process and testing.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
  • Strong knowledge/experience with Excel and very comfortable using Outlook, PowerPoint and Word.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • An aptitude to learn new systems is a plus.
  • CPA is preferred.
  • Candidates must be available to travel up to 30%, as needed.
